1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Plix.Tools ("the Site", "the Service", "we", "our", "us") at https://plix.tools, you ("you", "user") acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Site. Your continued use of the Site after any modification of these Terms constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Plix.Tools provides a collection of free, browser-based utilities and games, including but not limited to: image converters and compressors, PDF tools, financial calculators, unit converters, currency converters, text and code generators, developer utilities, productivity tools and browser games.

All tools operate entirely within your web browser. No files, images or user data are uploaded to or processed on our servers. We serve only static HTML, CSS and JavaScript files.

3. Free Service & Availability

The Site is provided free of charge, supported by advertising revenue from Google AdSense. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to:

• Modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice;
• Add, change or remove tools, games and features;
• Impose usage limits or restrictions;
• Block access from specific IP addresses or regions.

We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuation of the Service. We make no guarantee of continuous, uninterrupted or error-free access to the Site.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable local, national and international laws and regulations. You must not:

• Use the Site to process, generate, store or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that infringes third-party intellectual property rights;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, infrastructure, or any associated systems or networks;
• Use automated tools, scrapers, bots or scripts that place excessive or unreasonable load on our servers or infrastructure;
• Circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with any security-related features of the Site;
• Circumvent, disable or interfere with any advertising, consent or monetisation mechanisms on the Site;
• Use the Site to transmit viruses, malware, spyware, adware or any other malicious or disruptive code;
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity;
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the Site;
• Use the Site in any way that violates the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights or rights of publicity.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against any person who violates this Acceptable Use Policy, including reporting such persons to law enforcement authorities.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on Plix.Tools — including but not limited to the design, layout, source code, HTML/CSS/JS, text, graphics, tool interfaces, logos and compilation of content — is owned by or licensed to Plix.Tools and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, display, post, transmit or create derivative works from any part of the Site without our express prior written permission, except as follows:

• You may view and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes;
• You may print a single copy of any page for personal reference.

Your content: Any files, images or data you process using our tools remain entirely your own. Since all processing is client-side, we never receive, access, store or claim any rights over your content. You retain full ownership of and responsibility for all content you process.

Third-party components used in the Site (e.g., Lucide Icons, Inter font) are subject to their respective open-source licences.

6. Games

The browser games on Plix.Tools (including 2048, Minesweeper, Sudoku, Reaction Time and Word Guess) are provided for entertainment and personal use only. Game implementations on Plix.Tools are original works inspired by classic game concepts. Game mechanics and designs inspired by classic games are in the public domain or are independently implemented.

Word Guess is an original word-guessing game implementation. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by The New York Times Company or the "Wordle" trademark. The display name "Word Guess" is used throughout the Site to avoid trademark confusion.

Game scores and progress stored in your browser's localStorage belong to you and are never transmitted to us. Scores are not verified and have no commercial value.

7. Tool Accuracy & Important Disclaimers

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our tools, but we cannot guarantee that results are always correct, up-to-date or suitable for any particular purpose. You use all tools entirely at your own risk.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

The Site uses and may link to third-party services including Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Fonts, Cloudflare Pages, unpkg CDN and Formspree. Your use of the Site is also subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of these providers. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party services or websites.

Any links to external websites are provided for convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by Plix.Tools of those sites or their content. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality or content of external sites.

9. DMCA / Copyright Infringement

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that any content on Plix.Tools infringes your copyright, please send a notice containing the following information to hello@plix.tools:

1. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of a person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner);
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and its location on the Site;
4. Your contact information (address, telephone number and email address);
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on its behalf.

We will respond to valid DMCA notices promptly and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. Knowingly submitting a false DMCA notice may result in liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

Note: Because all tool processing is client-side, we have no visibility into or control over what files users process locally in their browsers. We do not store or host any user-uploaded content.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PLIX.TOOLS AND ITS OPERATORS PROVIDE THE SITE, ITS TOOLS, GAMES AND ALL CONTENT "AS IS", "AS AVAILABLE" AND "WITH ALL FAULTS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

We expressly disclaim all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement;
• Warranties that the Site will meet your requirements or be available on an uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free basis;
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness or usefulness of any content or tool output;
• Warranties that defects or errors will be corrected;
• Warranties that the Site or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PLIX.TOOLS, ITS OPERATORS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages;
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, goodwill or anticipated savings;
• Damages arising from your reliance on any tool output, calculation result or generated content;
• Damages arising from any unauthorised access to or use of our servers;
• Damages arising from any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Site;
• Damages arising from any bugs, viruses, trojan horses or the like transmitted by third parties.

Whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Aggregate liability cap: To the extent any liability is found notwithstanding the above, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to your use of the Site shall not exceed USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability for consumers, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Plix.Tools and its operators, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgements, awards, losses, costs, expenses or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your use or misuse of the Site or its tools;
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights;
• Any content you process, generate or distribute using our tools.

13. Privacy

Your use of the Site is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and forms part of this agreement. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.

14. Age Restriction

The Site is intended for users aged 13 and over (or 16 and over in the EEA/UK for consent purposes). By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you must not use the Site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — see our Children's Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

15a. Informal Resolution First

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at hello@plix.tools to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve the issue within 30 days of your notice.

15b. For US Residents — Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site (excluding injunctive or equitable relief for intellectual property infringement) shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.

Class Action Waiver: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Plix.Tools each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. You may only bring individual claims.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of arbitration by notifying us in writing at hello@plix.tools within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.

15c. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Plix.Tools operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For matters not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

16. Consumer Protection Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you may have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country in which you reside. In particular:

• California consumers have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. See our Privacy Policy — Your Rights for full details.
• EU / EEA consumers have rights under EU consumer protection laws, including the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their EU country of residence. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
• UK consumers have rights under UK consumer protection laws and may refer disputes to Citizens Advice.
• Australian consumers have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot be excluded.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. The invalidity of any one provision shall not affect the validity of any other provision.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Plix.Tools with respect to your use of the Site and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations and warranties, whether written or oral, regarding the Site. No waiver by Plix.Tools of any term or condition set out in these Terms shall be deemed a continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition.

19. Force Majeure

Plix.Tools shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, labour disputes, or failures of third-party service providers (including Cloudflare, Google or other infrastructure providers). In such events, our obligations will be suspended for as long as the force majeure event continues.

20. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practicable, provide reasonable advance notice. Your continued use of the Site after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the Site.
